Gamer

One of the best strategy games! Great Napoleanic Era representation and easy to learn and play. Outstanding graphics too!

Impossible Scenarios

Some of the battles are darn near impossible as you have no room for error before time runs out on a battle and it takes a long time to beat the level (even on easy) as there is no room for one wasted turn as there is only enough time to be perfect, so it gets VERY frustrating having to replay the same battle over and over again to miss by one or two turns.

Fun games

This is another Hexwar game that provides the board gamer a very good digital alternative. The rules are simple and the action is immediate. The graphics are colorful and provide ease in understanding the nature and potential ability of each unit. The scenarios are generally interesting and challenging.the games are moving puzzle problems .

Updated Version needs debugging

The last update negated the ability of the Allies cannons to fire from the breastworks on top of the hills. Please fix.

Amazing game!

Ive been waiting a long time for a turn-based strategy game from the napoleonic era. This one is amazing. Historically accurate, great game play, but simple enough not to bog down the action. Excellent work!

Napoleonic Game on the iPad.

I played a lot of the Napoleonic Miniature games known as "Column, Line, And Square". I like the game for Napoleonic Warfare the more I play it. The calvary seem a little weak, and the Calvary units are small. I like the artillery units they do damage but they dont dominate the battle field. Infantry in line formation should do more damage when firing volley fire and Infantry in column fire also as good as infantry in line formation. Im learning to manuver more when attacking line infantry. The more I play the more I like the game. What surprises me is that when I the Spanish Army I can defeat the computer controlled French. Id give the game and the scenarios an 8.5 out of 10.

Excellent Game Achievement

Terrific job representing an often neglected period of the Napoleonic wars. The historically accurate scenarios are challenging and fun to play either as the French or as the Spanish/British/Portugese Allies. The keen attention to detail of the standards, uniforms & actual units on both sides plus nuances of animation on the battlefield are what truly sets this game apart. The only problem I experienced was with the AI playing as the Spanish in several of the scenarios. It was maddening to see entire Spanish formations collapse and disappear upon mere distant movement of the French before any actual engagement; making the battle lost before it even starts. This may be intentional historically accurate AI, but not a fun game for the you as the Spanish general. If you enjoy Napoleonic war games for hours on end, then this game is for you. Great job!
